Ye gods.
Quick post.

Can someone PLEASE tell me a good way to treat middle-of-the-night insomnia? Knocking myself unconscious is the next thing I'll try.

Sleeping pills are okay, but I don't want to have to use those every night.

It's now 3:35 am, I've been awake for about two hours and can't fall back asleep. I had to leave bed to let Gris try to get some sleep.

Ugh.

It's been like this for a while now. x_x

Warm, rich tea, soft music, and some attempts at meditation. Not necessarily because meditation will help do anything except focus your mind, but mostly because it's easy to fall asleep during meditation when your body is already tired.

*hugs*

(Ignore the fact that I am also up at 3h30 AM and have been so for two hours. My being awake is conscious choice, not insomnia. I'm -deliberately- stupid. 8D)

I've had some insomnia problems lately, and my friend just turned me on to melatonin (a kind of sleeping pill). It is the same thing your brain naturally produces to make you sleep, and it completely knocked me out about half an hour after I took it. I didn't even have to take it the night after either, don't know if that is related. But I would highly recommend it.

(This was insomnia that wasn't being cured by any of my attempts at relaxation, music, etc.)
